Penny

penny_0328bWe are loving our Baby Penny! She has brought us so much joy. Our only regret is that we didn’t get TWO dogs from you.

Attached are photos of Penny — you are more than welcome to share on your web-site.

Penny is just our angel. She is our beautiful girl; she and I have running conversations all day and I have many made-up catchy tunes that I sing her (which I have caught my husband singing, too).

She follows us all around the house. During our morning showers, she peeks her head in to lick our legs. She sleeps at the bottom of our bed every night and she likes to stretch out and be petted and cuddled first thing in the morning. She very much enjoys those morning pets. She loves her walks and her “chubbies” (our word for dogfood). She also is extraordinarily soft when we give her a good bath and blow dry her hair with Rosemary Mint leave-in conditioner (what a life!).

She has learned a few good commands, including “shake” and “where’s the ball” or “where’s the toy?” She loves squeaky toys, so we bought her a snake with four squeakers in it. She runs up and down the stairs chasing her ball and she does a “happy bark” when she is half way down the staris. She likes to hike, though it has been rainy here and not much hiking has been done.

We also have a three story house on a hill with a wonderful sun room looking over the valley. She likes to jump up on the window sill and keep track of all the goings on below her. She sees the dogs down the hill and birds and cows. When she is keeping watch for us, she is “The Sentry.” She misses our beloved Juno, who passed away a few months ago, and we are thinking about a brother or sister for her.

Best,
Stefanie
